At A Time Like This, We're Family First
[post-introduction]
As fires rage across the west and Hurricane Sally affects the southeast, our thoughts and prayers go out to our Alliance family and friends who are being impacted. Recently, Orchard Alliance received a prayer request from Okanogan Valley Alliance Church in Okanogan, Washington. Fires in their area are about 25 percent contained and the devastation is great. Many local folks have lost homes, outbuildings, and animals…Even though horses and livestock made it through the fire, many cannot be healed and are dying. Wild animals are hurting and starving as all the vegetation has burned. People are putting out water troughs, salt licks and all-purpose livestock food to help the wildlife. Our community is coming together with donations for people in need. We have hope and a God of grace, mercy, and comfort and as Christ's ambassadors, we can be a smiling, warm, caring body to those who are hurting.
As part of the Alliance family, we are praying for the Okanogan community and others affected by the fires. We're also praying for the communities and Alliance churches damaged by Hurricane Sally in Gulf Shores and Lillian, Alabama and Pensacola, Florida. I invite you join us in prayer. You can also stay up to date on other prayer requests from around The Alliance at www.cmalliance.org/pray.
During times like these, we are keenly aware that Orchard Alliance is first and foremost a member of The Alliance family. Beyond our products and services, we are here to provide support to churches, ministry partners, families and individual account holders. Each week, our staff meets for a devotional and prayer time and we’d be honored to support you in prayer. Please send prayer requests to service@orchardalliance.org.
This has been a trying season for many. I pray you are seeking the Lord for strength and feeling His presence daily.
So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
