Beyond the Clouds and Smog
The Alliance has a long-standing legacy of establishing a gospel presence in the hard places—whether in sub-Saharan Africa in 1884 (where there are now more than 2 million Alliance believers) or in remote parts of Central Asia, where a vibrant church presence is still in the making. Today, nearly 80 percent of The Alliance’s team of over 700 international workers serve in areas with little or no gospel presence.
Our Alliance history has shown us that going to the hard places takes time, patience, and perseverance. Early Alliance missionaries labored to launch and sustain a meaningful, impactful gospel presence in barren and perilous locations for decades without seeing a single decision for Christ. But their perseverance paid off, as God brought forth significant fruit in many of these once dry and barren lands.
Today, Alliance international workers continue to answer this sacrificial call. They have spent years preparing. They have left behind people and places they hold dear to live among the lost and overlooked they’ve been called to serve. They’ve learned difficult languages and immersed themselves in unfamiliar cultures—to preach Christ in word and deed where He is not yet known.
Our Alliance international workers would not be able to go to the hard places without the generosity of Kingdom Stewards. Just as these workers have sacrificed much to answer their calls to go, others have sacrificially crafted current and legacy giving plans to help fund Alliance outreach today and well into the future.

International workers share about gospel opportunities through providing patient and consistent care and community
Every morning in the winter we play a family game called “Are the mountains there today?” Sometimes we can see the snow-capped peaks of the majestic Sharri Mountains. Oh, those days of glass-blue skies, when we are awed by the immensity and beauty of nature, overwhelmed with gratitude for a God who creates something so imposing yet exquisitely detailed! Those are the days of easy...
Faith & Finance Perspective
How does it impact you to experience the stories of lost and suffering people throughout the world? The Christian and Missionary Alliance (The Alliance) is intentional about sending workers to places characterized by suffering and hopelessness, places where the hope of Jesus is yet to be proclaimed.
Jesus’s Great Commission calling to us is to “go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you” (Matthew 28:19-20).” Not all of us can physically go. But we can send and support those who are called.
In 2024 alone, The Alliance appointed 54 new international workers to be sent to parts of the world with little or no gospel presence—because of generous Kingdom Stewards. How might God be inviting you to use your resources to keep our missions momentum going until our King returns? How might your legacy giving contribute to The Alliance’s ambitious All of Jesus for All the World vision?
